The idea that i had for my music video was to convey the emotion of the song with the audience, i wanted the emotion of the song and the story of the video to be obvious to the viewer but i decided to not have the person sing the song in the video, and just had the music in the background. My reason for doing this was that i wanted the story of the song to speak for itself and not be so obvious. And i wanted the emotion to be read from the expression and not from the actual lyrics of the song.
The location of my video was really important, i had this idea in my head of what i wanted, the location where i shot my music video fit it perfectly. I could not have wished for a better location to fit my video. On the day of shooting the video there was so much snow falling which i did not expect, i was worried that it would ruin the shots that i had planned and would not look right in the video. However, i feel that the snow goes along with the mood of the video and the emotion and sort of sets the scene of this dull and cold story. The house which i shot my video was in The little Hermitage which is in Meopham Kent, and the house was built in a Grade II Georgian manor house dating from 'the Age of Elegance' the 18th century. The feel i got from inside was very classy and elegant, the way the house was set up and stylized fit well with the shots that i had in mind.

ReplyDeleteThe video is well set out with a good story, however i thought that some of the clips were a bit random, and perhaps didnt fit in aswell as other parts.

ReplyDeleteThe setting worked really well. There was good effects used, one that stood out for me was when the girl span around and then it was rewinded, it was really good.

ReplyDeleteMy only critisism would be that some of the shots are taken quite far away so you lose the effects in some places in the video. Apart from that, well done!

ReplyDeleteThe black and white sets the mood for the video and works well with the song. i like that the rose is in colour, i like the use of refelctions in the video. You hve a good variation of camera shots.
ReplyDeleteThe only criticism i have is that i dont think it really makes sense, some parts she's putting make up on then she's out in the snow then inside again then in a graveyard.
Some actions work with words, good camera tranistions and shots, but more of a story needs to be told, i also did not get why she had to keep going in then out of the house.

ReplyDeleteThe video is good, and the storyline is easy to follow, however I noticed a bit of camera shake throughout the video that could have been improved.
